wash the green peas and dry them on a paper towel.
in a food processor, make a coarse paste of green peas.
heat oil in a small pan or kadhai, and add cumin seeds and heeng or asafoetida,
Add ginger and green chiles and stir for a minute on low flame.Add green peas to the pan.
mix well and add the other spices. Keep stirring the mixture till it becomes dry.
turn off the flame and take out the mixture in a plate.your filling is ready.
Pre heat the airfryer and set the temperature at 390F or 200C
Boil 3 cups of water in a pan and once it starts to boil add carom seeds, salt and 1 tsp oil to it.
Then add sooji (semolina ) and mix well. Stir constantly and let it cook on low flame until it turns thick
Switch off the flame and let the mixture cool down. Keep stirring constantly. Transfer sooji mixture to a bowl and let it cool down.
Once the mixture has come to a temperature which you can easily touch it, knead a soft dough with greased hands.
Now divide the dough into equal portions, each portion equal to a big lemon.
Grease your hands and take one portion in your hand, flatten it like a patty, place a tsp of filling at the center.
Close the stuffing from all sides and flatten the stuffed dough ball to make kachoris. Repeat the process until entire dough is utilized.
brush some oil on your air fryer basket and keep the kachoris inside, brush some oil on all kachoris and let them air fry for 20 minutes, until they turn slightly brown.
air-fry all the kachoris and serve them hot with green chutney.You can also store them in fridge for a week and reheat in air fryer /microwave before serving.
