  • 1/2 cup Sooji or semolina
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Cilantro or Coriander
  • 1 small Chopped Onion
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Amchoor Powder( Dry Mango)
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Corn flour
  • 2 tbsp All purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Preparation for the recipe

  1. Thaw and pat dry all the frozen vegetables and then in a food processor or a blender, grind them coarsely.

  2. Soak the soya granules in warm water and let them soaked for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, take them out and squeeze out all the water.

  3. Meanwhile, chop all the other veggies, collect all the spices and other ingredients.

Method of the Recipe

  1. In a big bowl mix together, vegetable blend, potatoes, bread crumbs, soya granules, semolina, spices and mix them well with your hands.

  2. Take a small portion, about a lime size of the veggie mixture in your hands and make balls. Once all the balls are formed keep them aside.

  3. In another bowl make a solution of corn flour, all purpose flour or maida and water. make sure you add the water gradually to avoid lumps.

  4. In a separate plate or wide bowl keep the semolina ready for coating.

  5. Also, keep the oil or appe pan or air fryer ready to deep fry or bake.

The Final procedure of the recipe

  1. Take one ball at a time, dip it quickly in the cornflour and maida ( APV)and roll it on the semolina ( sooji) plate and put it in the pan for frying. Repeat the same procedure for all the balls.

  2. If you using an air fryer or appe pan, then also keep them in air fryer basket or appe pan holes.

  3. Cook them until they are brown in color and look cooked. Since I have not tried them in air fryer, I cant suggest the exact temperature, but I guess it should be similar to regular veggie balls.

  4. Once they are cooked, serve them hot with ketchup or chutney or any of your favorite sauce.
