Ingredients

  • 2 Whole Beetroots
  • 2 Cups Boiled Chickpeas
  • 2 tbsp Chickpea flour
  • 1 Bunch Cilantro/ Coriander leaves
  • 1 Green Chili
  • 3-4 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp ground cumin powder
  • 2 tbsp ground coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your airfryer at 360 F

  2. Wash and dice the beetroots and keep them aside. Heat a nonstick pan and add few drops of oil, add the beetroots and then pan roast them for 15 minutes in medium flame. This is a step you can do in advance. The cooking time mentioned above doesn't include this time.

  3. In a food processor, add the beets, boiled and drained chickpeas, green chili, cumin, coriander powder, coriander leaves, garlic green chili, and salt. Blend them together to make a thick paste. Make sure you don't make a thin batter.

  4. Once your paste is ready, transfer it to a bowl and then add the chickpea flour. Grease your hands with little oil and make small falafels.

  5. Place the falafels in bottom of the AirFryer cooking compartment leaving space between each falafel. Spray some oil on all the falafels and set the time for 10 minutes

  6. Your delicious, air fried falafels are ready to eat. Serve them with a Mint yogurt dip or a Tahini dip and enjoy!
