Sooji Idli Manchurian

Sooji or Semolina Idlis are always a very quick and easy after school snack option. Sooji idlis is are fast becoming an alternate to rice idli. They can be made in a jiffy and are light on the tummy too. IMG_4161Sooji Idli Manchurian is an indo chinese recipe made using sooji idlis and Chinese sauces and vegetables. My elder kid is not very fond of sweets and he loves to have savory snack every time he comes back from school. It is always a tough job for me to decide what to make for him , when he comes back. I use Sooji often in my cooking specially for kids, and usually when I have no time, I end up making Sooji ( Cheela) Pancakes or sometime idlis or Appams.

This time I tried a little different version of idlis by turning them into manchurian. A very quick , easy and little different idlis sauteed in Chinese sauces taste best when serve hot. You can serve them as after school snack, or in main course also along with some soup.
