Methi or Fenugreek seeds and leaves form an important ingredient in Indian households. It is used in almost every Indian preparation be it dal, paratha or curry. Fenugreek is a rich reservoir of medicinal properties that imparts many health benefits. Fenugreek helps to reduce cholesterol level, control heart rate and blood pressure and diabetes. Taking soaked methi seeds in mornings helps in lowering the blood sugar levels and aids in weight loss too.
Green Peas are really little powerhouses of nutrition that are a boon for your health.A cup of peas has less than 100 calories but lots of protein, fiber and micronutrients.

Today, I combined these two healthy greens and made a main course entree for my dinner. Matar Methi ki sabzi is a delicious and very healthy curry to be served in a main course meal. You can make it dry or with gravy as I made it. For making dry you just need to lessen the amount of water while boiling the peas.It goes well with Chappatis or rice , but tastes best when eaten with a hot crisp Paratha. Try this at home and enjoy this healthy curry with your family.
