Oats and Cauliflower Cutlets

Oats are packed with nutrients like healthy carbs and fiber. They are also a great option when you’re trying to lose weight, so you should incorporate them into your weight-loss diet at least a few times a week.If you don’t like Plain oats and milk or Oatmeal then you should try different methods of making oats. Today I made these healthy cutlets using oats and cauliflower.

I can’t believe that March is half over, and my new year resolution of loosing my gained weight is still on a slow pace. Why? Well, losers give excuses, and winners always find ways to do what they want to achieve, but yes I was being lazy to work out specially when there is always this dull, cloudy and snowy weather outside. Thank-goodness , Now the temperatures are shooting up and so is my energy level and determination to work out daily. I love to walk in fresh air watching the beautiful nature and burning calories.

Having said that, apart from walking and exercising one thing I always try to do is eating healthy. I don’t believe in dieting because they are not permanent and me being a foodie, I can’t resist hunger. So I always fimd some healthier ways to make my tummy happy and these cute cutlets were made as an evening snack when I was feeling hungry. Just 3 of them with a cup of green tea and your hunger cravings are gone!!!
Check out the recipe below and I am sure you are going to love them.

  6. Divide this dough into equal portions and make the cutlets or Tikkis.
  7. Heat 1 tbs of oil in a non stick flat pan and place these cutlets. Once they get cooked and brown on one side, flip them and cook from other side. Serve hot with Green cilantro chutney and enjoy.

Hey, Thanks! I added Potatoes for binding everything together. There are two ways you can skip potatoes..either add sweet potatoes but that may give a sweeter taste or simply try skipping the potatoes and try adding besan for binding.

Wow, such crispy and yummy looking cutlets. They don’t look like they are made with so many healthy ingredients. Great way to sneak in oats and cauliflower for the kids.

Swati, I love reading your posts. Firstly, we aim to cook quite similarly – Healthy ingredients as much as possible. Although my pics are yet to do some justice to the recipes, yours on the other hand are spectacular. Loved the combination of two of the most common ingredients in the refrigerator turned into healthy snack option, both ideal for kids and adults.

Today only I was discussing with hubby that its only probably in India that we have such variety of one dish. I had made some raw banana cutlets and now I see your variation. Nice way to eat more cauliflower and healthy too. I’ve made a resolution to get fitter this year and as you said loser have all sorts of excuses. I allowed most of Feb to pass by without getting much exercise.
