Baked Vegetable Samosa whole wheat version.

Baked Vegetable Samosa is a healthier version of the traditional Indian Samosas. I made them using mix vegetables and Whole wheat. They are very easy and quick to make and taste delicious. They can be served as a snack with tea or soup.

It’s a Friday, the week is ending and everyone at home is eagerly waiting for the weekend. It is snowing heavily since morning. My husband took a work from home today as it was too slippery and icy on roads. When I opened the curtains of my room I was thrilled to see snow everywhere. I and my elder son are mad about it. We love to play, make snow man, snow angels and throw snow on each other. He has gone to school and I was waiting for him to come. I went out with my husband and we took some beautiful shots of snow covered areas near our home.

When we came back my husband asked for a hot cup of tea and something delicious. Whenever I ask him what do u want me to cook he says ” Something delicious”. So I thought how about hot steaming samosas but I wanted to avoid the traditional ones as they are oily and so I quickly looked through favorites folder of my laptop where I had saved this recipe I saw on Food Food Channel. The Samosas came out so tasty that I have decided never to make those oily traditional ones. I called my husband who was busy with office work and we both enjoyed the Samosas sitting in our living room, looking out the snow and enjoying with a cup of hot tea. IMG_6578 IMG_6576

Hello Megha, I am glad you tried the recipe. I think Megha, Your dough was not as soft as it should be. Let me tell you the dough must be soft like that of roti . You have to rest it for 1/2 an hour in fridge and since these samosa are whole wheat and baked so they will not be as soft as regular samosas but yes they are not much hard in texture. They taste very yumm but once again not as soft as regular ones.
