“This Tuesday I decided to make something sweet, healthy and nutritious for my growing sons. What’s special on Tuesday? You might be thinking…
Well, among seven days of the week, Tuesdays are special for me and my family as its an all family together prayer day. I love to cook sweets for Prasad myself as I think that homemade is always healthy and fresh.
This Apple cake is best because it is eggless, it has whole wheat, no butter, and cooks quickly. This is the first time I tried it and believe me..it just turned out perfect. I hope if you will try it, you, your family and friends will love it the way my family and friends did”

2. You can add cubed apples also at a later stage or some nuts if you wish.
3. If the batter is thick you can add water and if you feel its thin add more flour to it.

I tried the recipe it came out really good. But I avoided the water as the consistency was perfect without it. But my fingers were a little greasy after consuming to tasty dessert. Do all cakes which have oil in the recipe have a greasy feel, or I have gone wrong somewhere? Suggest me.

it turned out nice and soft but apple flavor was lost somewhere.. may be i need to add more than one apple? it was medium sized apple that I added.

    Hi,
Which vegetable oil should be use?
Also my cake did rise properly but was a bit crumbly. What could be the reason behind it.
    Thanks

Your recipe is spot on….so as I made it during lockdown, I substituted the sugar for jaggery sugar ( 1/2 cup was sufficient ) & the milk for dahi & very little water. Also I didn’t have baking powder but soda I added. So the soda did give it a bit of a distinct taste but I reduced it to 1/2 so was OK. Also I added apple cubes to the batter.
O overall the recipe is fantastic & the fresh apple sauce does the trick.

Thank You Thank You for sharing this recipe. Absolutely wonderful.
